Dyer out for Magpies

Newcastle midfielder Kieron Dyer will miss Sunday’s Barclays Premiership trip to Manchester United despite making good progress with his hamstring injury.

The England international is back in training but like defender Titus Bramble, who has a similar problem, will not return this weekend.

Craig Moore (hamstring) is also approaching full fitness, but Michael Owen (foot), Stephen Carr (hernia) and Steven Taylor (shoulder) are still out.
