Joey Barton returns from suspension as Manchester City look to improve their dire Barclays Premiership away record at relegation-threatened Portsmouth.

The former England Under-21 international is just one booking away from an automatic two-match ban for picking up 10 yellow cards in the season, but his place in the Blues starting line-up is by no means certain following the win over Sunderland last week.
