Fergie holds off on Scholes

Alex Ferguson will resist any temptation to rush Paul Scholes’ recovery from a major eye problem despite the midfielder’s surprise appearance at training this week.

Ferguson has already ruled Scholes out of the remainder of the campaign after tests indicated the 31-year-old required a three-month break to get over an injury he picked up at Birmingham in December which had left him with persistent blurred vision.
