Aberdeen have asked the Scottish Premier League to postpone the game at Celtic tomorrow due to road conditions in the north and north-east of the country.

Heavy snowfall in the north of Scotland has caused treacherous driving conditions in the area and Grampian Police have urged motorists to only travel if the journey is necessary.

Aberdeen head of operations Duncan Fraser told the club’s official website, www.afc.co.uk: “The weather is the severest we have experienced for many years and, with the authorities urging people not to travel, asking for a postponement is the only sensible option open to us.”
