Lampard big doubt for Baggies clash

Frank Lampard remains the biggest concern for Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho ahead of their trip to struggling West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

Lampard damaged his hamstring in the Champions League tie with Barcelona but was forced to play on as Chelsea went down to 10 men following the dismissal of left-back Asier del Horno.

Lampard has undergone further scans and treatment on the injury but is highly doubtful for the trip to the Midlands.

Mourinho is likely to opt for a midfield trio of Eidur Gudjohnsen, Michael Essien and Claude Makelele. Defender William Gallas is also doubtful with a thigh problem.
