Robbie Keane confirmed as new Ireland captain

Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has been officially confirmed as the new Republic of Ireland captain.

Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has been officially confirmed as the new Republic of Ireland captain.

The 25-year-old Dubliner, Ireland's all-time leading goalscorer, takes over the captain's armband following the retirement of Kenny Cunningham last October.
