Newcastle are to appeal against Celestine Babayaro’s sending-off against Aston Villa in the Magpies’ 2-1 victory on Saturday,

The Nigeria defender was dismissed after fouling Milan Baros to concede a penalty, which the Czech striker subsequently hit straight at goalkeeper Shay Given.
