Derby have appointed academy coach Terry Westley as interim manager with striker Paul Peschisolido acting as his right-hand man.

The Rams, who parted company with manager Phil Brown last night, will now begin the process of searching for a replacement for the former Bolton assistant boss.

Westley has enjoyed a touchline presence at first-team games under Brown’s regime while Peschisolido, sidelined by a groin strain, is currently supporting his wife and Birmingham managing director Karren Brady, who is due to have surgery for an aneurysm in the brain.
