Jewell ready to ring changes

Wigan manager Paul Jewell will attempt to freshen up his squad ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at Manchester City.

Arjan de Zeeuw, David Connolly, David Wright, Emerson Thome, Ryan Taylor, Lee McCulloch and Steve McMillan are all injured, while recent signing David Thompson is ineligible, with Henri Camara still on African Nations’ Cup duty with Senegal.

However, Jewell does have his two loan signings this month in Neil Mellor and Reto Ziegler available, while fringe players are likely to get a run out.
