Everton will be severely depleted against Chelsea in the FA Cup fourth-round tie at Goodison Park.

Boss David Moyes will be without Tim Cahill, who is suspended, and cup-tied Alan Stubbs. He also has an injury doubt over Italian Matteo Ferrari (hamstring), while Joseph Yobo is away on international duty.

Wales midfielder Simon Davies should return after an ankle injury, but Everton have a major long-term injury list that includes Li Tie, Lee Carsley, James Vaughan, Andy van der Meyde and Alessandro Pistone.

Provisional squad: Martyn, Hibbert, Weir, Ferrari, Neville, Nuno Valente, Osman, Arteta, Kilbane, McFadden, Davies, Beattie, Ferguson, Wright, Naysmith, Hughes, Anichebe.
