Ireland to face Azerbaijan for place in U-21 Championship

The Republic of Ireland must overcome Azerbaijan if they are to secure a place in next season's UEFA Under-21 Championship.

Don Given’s men have been paired with the side in a preliminary match to choose the final team for Group 4 of the competition.

If the Irish get through the match, they will go on to face Belgium and Greece in the group stages.

The tie will be played over two legs before July 15.
