Sunderland striker Kevin Kyle is in line for his first senior appearance since August 2004 in the club’s FA Cup fourth round clash with Brentford tomorrow.

The 24-year-old Scotsman is back in the squad after a 17-month lay-off with a hip cartilage problem and could play a part at some point in the game at Griffin Park.
