Manchester United chief executive David Gill has called on the Premier League to “grab the initiative” and force member clubs to publish the fees they pay to agents.

The Red Devils currently stand alone in confirming the payments, which last year amounted to £2.2m (€3.2m), most of which was in connection to Wayne Rooney’s £27m (€39m) transfer from Everton.
