Saints set to confirm Walcott sale

Southampton have called a press conference for this afternoon when it is believed they will announce the sale of teenage star Theo Walcott.

Arsenal are believed to be close to tying up a deal for the 16-year-old striker having reportedly made a bid of £12m (€17.5m).

Chairman Rupert Lowe will be present along with managing director Andrew Cowen and academy manager Huw Jennings.
