Celtic face an anxious wait to see if they have won the race to sign Scotland international striker Kenny Miller.

Celtic face an anxious wait to see if they have won the race to sign Scotland international striker Kenny Miller.

The Wolves frontman held talks with the Bank of Scotland Premier League leaders yesterday about a move.

But Miller’s agent David Baldwin has revealed Celtic face stiff competition from a number of Italian Serie A clubs as well as from the English Premiership.

He said: “There is no pre-contract in place yet with any club. Kenny is looking at things and we are considering his options.

“Family, football and finance are the things Kenny must consider and that is what he is doing.

“As is widely known, there are a number of options for Kenny and indeed he could yet move abroad.

“We have had a couple of Serie A clubs ask about him and no doubt that has materialised after Kenny’s terrific show against Italy during the World Cup qualifiers.

“But as we said, nothing has been agreed yet, and Kenny and I are sitting down and going over the options.”
