Rested defender Luke Young also returns but midfielder Alexei Smertin, who has only just resumed training following a knee injury, may have to wait for his comeback.

Goalkeeper Thomas Myhre continues to keep former automatic choice Dean Kiely on the sidelines and the Addicks continue to be without defender Gonzalo Sorondo because of a broken foot.
