Pandiani agrees Espanyol deal

Birmingham striker Walter Pandiani has signed a contract until June 2008 with Espanyol, according to the Spanish club.

The Uruguay international will undergo a medical tomorrow to complete the £1m transfer and is to be unveiled to the Spanish media later in the day, according to his new club’s website.

The 29-year-old first joined Blues on loan in January 2005 from Deportivo La Coruna before the move was made permanent in early August for £3m.

This will be Pandiani’s third spell in the Primera Liga following spells with Deportivo and Mallorca – who he rejected the chance to join earlier this month.
