Benitez backs Parry in honours row

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has added his considerable support to club chief executive Rick Parry’s claims that the Anfield men should have figured in the recent New Year honours list.

Parry has claimed Liverpool’s absence from the list after winning the Champions League for the fifth time is “nothing short of staggering”.
