Bans for Cork City trio
Cork City's George O’Callaghan, Billy Woods and Ray Lally will all miss the big kick-off to the new football season on the weekend of March 10 next.

Last year’s top scorer and the PFAI’s First Division player of the year, Kieran O’Reilly has been handed a one-match ban, while Alan Carey, Dave Warren and Kevin Murray are all banned from the opening day’s fix tures. Cobh’s Mark Clifford has to serve out a two-match ban.
Other prominent eircom League stars forced to miss out include Ollie Cahill, Dave Rogers and Owen Heary (all Shelbourne), Sean Hargan (Derry City), John Paul Kelly (Bohemians), Damien Lynch and Simon Webb (Drogheda Utd), Pat McCourt and Barry Molloy (Derry City), Alan Reilly (St. Pat’s Ath) and Sligo’s Kupono Low and Ciaran Foley (three matches).
