Three goals in 11 second-half minutes rescued Liverpool after a breathtaking FA Cup tie against Luton at Kenilworth Road.

Goals from Steve Howard, Steve Robinson and a penalty from Kevin Nicholls had given Luton a 3-1 lead, following Steven Gerrard’s early strike.

But two goals from Florent Sinama-Pongolle and two from Xabi Alonso saw Liverpool through into Monday’s draw for the fourth round.
