Sutton won't go west

Chris Sutton’s debut for Birmingham has been put on ice for a week after his free transfer move from Celtic until the end of the season.

The striker is to get a week’s training under his belt before being considered for the Barclays Premiership game at Charlton on January 14.

Muzzy Izzet and Mario Melchiot are doubts after picking up injuries in the win over Wigan and although David Dunn and Mikael Forssell are back in training, the pair are unlikely to make the trip to Plainmoor.
