Benitez has options

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will make a late decision on what role newly signed full-back Jan Kromkamp will play in the FA Cup third round tie at Luton.

The Dutchman has only had a couple of training sessions with his new team-mates, so may well be named only on the bench.

Striker Fernando Morientes has a chance of being available after a knee problem, and young goalkeeper Scott Carson could also come in to give Jose Reina a rest – but Benitez is unlikely to copy the wholesale changes he made in the side for last season’s embarrassing exit at this stage against Burnley.
