Agathe frustrated by lack of games

Out-of-favour Celtic defender Didier Agathe has complained about the lack of opportunity afforded to him since Gordon Strachan arrived at Parkhead.

The 30-year-old was a key component of the Hoops team under Martin O’Neill but has been frozen out since Strachan took over as manager.

Agathe, who is free to find himself a club during the transfer window and has been linked with Middlesbrough and Leeds, said: “I am the only player who has not been given a chance this season.

“But it’s down to the coach – it’s up to him to decide.

“It’s not my intention to go to the press. I’ll go to work and work hard in training and I’ll wait – even though he’ll not call on my services.

“If it is necessary I’ll go elsewhere so I can play again. I will work hard to find a club that is still in Europe.”
