Nieto leaves Rangers
Federico Nieto has left Rangers after failing to win a permanent deal with the Scottish champions.
The Argentinian striker arrived at Ibrox in the summer after Rangers claimed they beat off competition from South American giants Boca Juniors and River Plate, as well as Spanish club Real Sociedad.
He initially signed a six-month loan deal with the option to sign for another five years.
But the 22-year-old struggled to adapt to the Scottish game and made just six appearances before sustaining ankle ligament damage during a Champions League game against Artmedia Bratislava on October 19.
Nieto has not featured since and looked unlikely to win the bumper deal to remain at Rangers.
He has returned to Argentinian club Almagro.
