Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is likely to turn to his big guns once again as he prepares for tomorrow night’s Barclays Premiership clash with Middlesbrough at the Reebok Stadium.

Allardyce rested Kevin Nolan, Kevin Davies, Abdoulaye Faye and Joey O’Brien for the 0-0 draw at Sunderland, but they are all likely to return in place of Martin Djetou, Khalilou Fadiga, Ricardo Vaz Te and Nicky Hunt.

Wanderers’ only absentee is striker Henrik Pedersen, who is not expected to play again until the new year because of an Achilles problem.

Provisional squad: Jaaskelainen, O’Brien, Ben Haim, Jaidi, N’Gotty, Gardner, Giannakopoulos, Speed, Faye, Nolan, Nakata, Davies, Walker, Hunt, Okocha, Vaz Te, Diouf, Fadiga, Borgetti.
