Jol waits on King report

Tottenham boss Martin Jol hopes the groin injury Ledley King sustained on Boxing Day is not serious enough to keep him out of tomorrow’s clash with West Brom.

Tottenham boss Martin Jol hopes the groin injury Ledley King sustained on Boxing Day is not serious enough to keep him out of tomorrow’s clash with West Brom.

Immediate medical reports after the 2-0 win over Birmingham were that King has suffered a ‘minor’ strain – but a final decision depends on full diagnosis which was due today.

Jol must also decide whether to reinstate Jermain Defoe to the starting XI after the England striker made another forceful case with a goal-scoring appearance off the bench.

Provisional squad: Robinson, Cerny, Stalteri, Kelly, Lee, King, Dawson, Naybet, Brown, Davids, Carrick, Lennon, Jenas, Davis, Mendes, Routledge, Defoe, Keane, Mido, Rasiak.
