Bayern win again

Bayern Munich maintained their seemingly relentless charge towards the Bundesliga title with a 2-1 away win at Borussia Dortmund.

Second-half goals from Ali Karimi and Claudio Pizarro put Bayern ahead, although Florian Kringe gave Dortmund hope with nine minutes left.

Schalke’s title hopes now look over after second-half goals from Mario Gomez and Danijel Ljuboja saw them beaten 2-0 at Stuttgart – a result which leaves managerless Schalke 13 points adrift of Bayern.

Halil Altintop’s third hat-trick of the season saw Kaiserslautern clinch their first win since August – a 3-2 home triumph against Wolfsburg, a late equaliser from Uwe Mohrle gave Duisburg a 1-1 draw at Mainz, while Cologne stretched their winless league run to 12, losing 3-2 at Arminia Bielefeld.

Borussia Monchengladbach edged a seven-goal thriller with Eintracht Frankfurt, while Bayer Leverkusen could only draw 0-0 at home to Hannover.
