Allardyce faces selection problems

Centre-back Tal Ben Haim misses Bolton’s trip to Everton through suspension as manager Sam Allardyce contemplates changes in defence.

In addition to the Israeli’s absence due to picking up five yellow cards, Wanderers could be without left-back Ricardo Gardner, who was forced out of the UEFA Cup clash with Sevilla in midweek with a hamstring problem.

Should Jamaican Gardner – captain on Wednesday night – not make it, Allardyce admits he is limited in his options with Nicky Hunt more suited to the right side and no other recognised left-back in the squad.
