Charlton have signed a £6.6m (€7.8m), four-and-a-half year sponsorship deal with Spanish property company Llanera SL.

The package is the largest in the club’s history and could increase depending on the Addicks’ success, with an option in place to extend the contract until 2013.

Charlton chairman Richard Murray said: “This is a fantastic deal for the club.”

For the last two years Llanera have been major partners to their local club Valencia and also sponsor the Menorca basketball team.

Charlton’s original agreement with previous sponsors all:sports, who were bought out by rivals JD Sports after going into administration in September, was scheduled to end in June 2006.
