Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce will pick Joey Barton for Sunday’s Premiership encounter at Charlton.

Barton’s brother Michael was this week jailed for the racist murder of Anthony Walker in Liverpool, but Pearce believes the former England Under-21 international is in the right mental state to play at The Valley.
