Bruce ponders Dunn selection

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has to decide whether to risk playing fit again playmaker David Dunn for the second time in 72 hours against Millwall at the New Den.

Bruce is wary of over-exposing the former England Under-21 captain too quickly after his lengthy injury lay-off. He played 64 minutes of Saturday’s 1-0 win at Sunderland.

City have plenty of options if Bruce decides to alter his line-up and the likes of Stan Lazaridis, Nicky Butt and Jamie Clapham were not even on the bench at the Stadium Of Light. Walter Pandiani will be pushing hard for a place in the starting line-up after impressing as a second-half substitute against Mick McCarthy’s strugglers.

Provisional squad: Vaesen, Maik Taylor, Melchiot, Martin Taylor, Cunningham, Upson, Johnson, Izzet, Kilkenny, Dunn, Jarosik, Heskey, Pandiani, Pennant, Gray, Clemence, Lazaridis, Clapham, Butt.
