Waterford begin search for new boss
Waterford United are looking for a new manager after deciding not to appoint Brendan Rea for the 2006 season.
Former player Rea took over as manager for the final six months of what was a turbulent season for the Blues during which they sacked player-manager Alan Reynolds and his replacement Giles Cheevers resigned.
But the team looked to be in trouble until Waterford recruited Pat Dolan to work alongside Rea and the Blues did enough in the final games of the season to stave off relegation.
But the Waterford board have decided not to keep on Rea and wil instead begin the search for a new boss.
