Collins handed mystery suspension by Rovers

Roddy Collins’s future at Shamrock Rovers is in doubt after the controversial boss was hit with a seven-day ban by the owners of the club.

Collins has been suspended as a result of an internal matter, no further details of which have been revealed by the club’s board.

Assistant manager Terry Eviston will take charge of the side for this weekend's game against UCD.

The ban will expire in time for Collins to take charge of the Hoops in next week’s play-off against either Dublin City or Cobh Ramblers.
