Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Gordon Taylor insists England’s players will be worth every penny of their promised win bonus if they can deliver World Cup success next summer.

Sven-Goran Eriksson’s squad are set to net up to £300,000 (€446,400) a man if they lift the famous trophy in Germany after reaching agreement in principle with the Football Association over a lucrative bonus package.
