Sutton out for Hoops

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan will be without Chris Sutton for the CIS Insurance Cup quarter-final against Rangers.

The versatile Englishman missed the weekend win at Falkirk with a knee problem and has failed to recover for the Old Firm derby at Celtic Park.

But midfielder Alan Thompson returns after suspension, while Aiden McGeady is hoping to start again after an impressive display at the Falkirk Stadium.

Strikers Maciej Zurawski and Craig Beattie (both hamstring) are still sidelined.
