Sommeil out for six weeks

David Sommeil has been ruled out for at least six weeks following confirmation he suffered a fractured cheekbone in Manchester City’s win over Aston Villa on Monday.

The 31-year-old Frenchman had only just broken back into the Blues line-up after a full season out in the cold but his hopes of re-establishing himself in Stuart Pearce’s side have now been dashed.
