Hughes escapes FA punishment
Blackburn manager Mark Hughes will not face any further punishment from the Football Association after he was sent from the dug-out during Saturday’s defeat at Chelsea.
Hughes was sent to the stand by referee Mike Riley after he kicked a bag in anger following several decisions he did not agree with.
The FA have the option in such situations to charge managers with misconduct but it has been decided that Riley’s action was punishment enough.
Stoke boss Johan Boskamp will also not face any disciplinary charge after a similar incident during his side’s defeat by Southampton.
