Jonathan De Guzman opened the scoring early on for the visitors, which was doubled by Romeo Castelen soon after.

Patrick Paauwe added the third for Feyenord before substitute Hans Denissen scored a last-minute goal for Wllem II.

FC Utrecht recovered from their midweek Gatorade Cup defeat to VVV Venlo with a 4-1 home victory over RBC Roosendaal.

The hosts were deservedly in front at the break after Nassir Macchi struck on the stroke of half-time.

And although RBC pulled level nine minutes into the second half through Paul Kpaka, Utrecht sealed the points with further goals from Joost Broerse, Macchi and Marc-Antoine Fortune.

NEC Nijmegen and Sparta Rotterdam battled to a 0-0 draw while Danny Buijs earned Groningen a 1-0 win at home to Roda JC.
