Bray made themselves safe to put Rovers second bottom and in real relegation trouble.

Rovers had the best chance of a tight first half as early as seven minutes when Stephen Manley’s free-kick was inches wide of Chris O’Connor’s goal.

But Paul Caffrey, who had begun the season at Rovers, was to prove their undoing with the only goal of the game four minutes into the second half when he punished a poor defensive clearance to score form outside the area.
