Sheringham joins pro-technology lobby

West Ham striker Teddy Sheringham has backed calls for the introduction of technology to assist officials on goalline decisions.

The issue has again resurfaced after Middlesbrough defender Chris Riggott was deemed to have scored an own goal against the Hammers on Sunday when goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer appeared to have kept it out.
