Tomorrow's game in doubt as U19s beat Italy

Cork City's FAI Cup semi-final clash with Derry City could fall victim to the weather, with parts of the Turner's Cross pitch waterlogged at present.

The Republic of Ireland U19s beat Italy 4-1 at Turner's Cross tonight, and parts of the pitch were heavily waterlogged by the end of the game.

With heavy rain expected in the Cork area overnight, there will be little chance of an improvement by morning, although Turner's Cross grounds staff are prepared to do everything possible to ensure the pitch is deemed playable.
