Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has admitted the Football Association’s charge of abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official.

Warnock was recently charged for his outburst at the Madejski Stadium where his side went down 2-1 to Reading in a top-of-the-table clash.

“Neil Warnock has admitted to the charge and has requested a personal hearing that will be scheduled in due course,” an FA spokesman said.

Referee Grant Hegley reported Warnock for foul and abusive language after the Blades boss saw his side’s late penalty appeal turned down against Reading, who won with a last-minute goal.
