O'Flynn strike keeps Cork on target
Cork City 1 Drogheda United 0
John O’Flynn punished an error by Dan Connor to keep Cork on course for their first title in 12 years.
O’Flynn cleverly charged down Connor’s 71st minute clearance as the Drogheda keeper dallied from Graham Garland’s throw and the ball rebounded into the net, trickling over the line before Connor could get back.
Cork keeper Mick Devine had earlier made the stop of the night when saving well from Declan O’Brien.
Drogheda then finished with ten men as Gartland was sent off a minute from time for a second booking.
