Savage set for return

Robbie Savage could return to the Blackburn midfield against Liverpool at Anfield after serving a one-match suspension.

The Welshman missed the victory over West Brom after incurring five bookings but may be drafted back in by manager Mark Hughes in place of Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid, one of three Rovers players who has been away on international duty.

Finnish striker Shefki Kuqi, who hit both goals in the 2-0 win against the Baggies last time out, could come in for Craig Bellamy (knee) should Hughes opt to field a two-man forward line at Anfield.
