Recovery boost for Latics

Wigan’s Pascal Chimbonda and Lee McCulloch have both been passed fit ahead of Saturday’s visit of Newcastle to the JJB Stadium.

French left-back Chimbonda limped out of the 2-1 win at home to Bolton 11 days ago with a dead leg, while Scotland international midfielder McCulloch was forced to withdraw from international duty to prevent any aggravation to a recent knee problem.
