Woodgate puts England hopes on hold

Jonathan Woodgate has given his backing to England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson but admits he is uncertain about his own chances of making it to next summer’s World Cup finals.

Woodgate was delighted to see England qualify for next year’s showpiece in Germany but put talk of himself being part of the squad on the backburner.
