Bohemians just escaped a three point deduction and a €1,500 fine last Friday night when they almost played a suspended player.

John Paul Kelly was suspended for the game against Waterford but was originally included in the starting line-up until the error was spotted by a Waterford official who warned Bohemians.

As the Gypsies had been informed of Kelly’s suspension they would have suffered the points deduction and heavy fine for the matter.
