Shamrock Rovers will be hoping to at least maintain their five-point cushion over the bottom two when they take on Longford Town at Dalymount Park.

With eight games to go, Rovers know that the Premier Division status is not assure yet and they face a Longford side with nothing to play for during the remainder of the season.

Rovers welcome back Marc Kenny into his side for the clash after the midfielder missed last week’s FAI Cup defeat in Derry because he was Cup-tied though defender Keith Doyle is suspended.

Longford will be without suspended trio Davy Byrne, John Martin and Dessie Baker while Barry Ferguson is ruled out with a broken hand though Shane Barrett has been added to the squad.
