Dolan mulls over Waterford consultancy role
Pat Dolan will decide tomorrow whether to return to football in a consultancy role with Waterford United.
Dolan – out of football since being sacked as Cork City manager in March – was offered the role at the weekend after helping current manager Brendan Rea with training.
He has been asked to continue helping out for the rest of the season and will decide whether to help out by tomorrow.
“Suggestions that I am taking over as manager are completely wide of the mark,” said Dolan. “I’m not interested in going back into management at the moment because my head is still with the team that I built at Cork.
“However, the club has asked me to consider taking on a role where I can help out and assist Brendan in his duties. I have informed Martin (Colbert, club director) that I will give my decision by tomorrow.”
