Bowyer facing driving ban after 110mph speeding

Newcastle United midfielder Lee Bowyer is facing a driving ban after being clocked doing around 110mph in his Porsche 911 on a stretch of the A1 near his Northumberland home.

The 28-year-old was clocked by a moile police patrol and followed for eight miles in July this year during which time he reached speeds of 112mph, magistrates heard today.
